Where it all began

In lieu of our upcoming 3rd month of marriage mark, I thought it would be fun to post the first two pages of our wedding guest book.  David and I both took a page and wrote out our version of how we met.  They ended up being pretty darn entertaining.  Our story is unconventional to say the least but I hope you enjoy reading about it.  Just click on the picture to read each one.

Marriage 101

A few things I didn't know about David or marriage until now:

  1. David sings in the shower.
  2. It's really easy to stay home from work and school when you have someone else supporting your decision stay.
  3. David sings songs that I don't want stuck in my head just to get me "angry".
  4. It is a lot harder to cook dinner every night then I thought it would be.
  5. When you get baby hungy, get a puppy.  It stops your longings everytime they pee inside.
  6. Living with brothers and living with a husband are not the same thing.
  7. David likes to leave cabinet doors open.
  8. David and I are more a like and at the same time very different, then I ever realized.
  9. Being married means someone is always around to laugh with you...and at you.
  10. I am not nearly as "domestic" as I thought I was.

It's about time...

I think that it is about time I write something.  David and I have been married for almost 3 months now.  We are still as crazy about each other as we were when we first started dating.  We had a wonderful wedding.  The ceremony was unforgettable, the reception was beautiful, and the honeymoon was perfect.

David and I hope to use this blog to keep the people we loved updated on our lives.  We are far to busy to call everyone daily let alone weekly to give updates. :)

The past few months have been very busy so here are few things we have been up to:
  • Slowly unpacking and organizing the apartment over the past 2 months
  • Slowly buying the things we needed in order to cook, sleep, eat, and live.
  • Returning lots of our duplicate gifts
  • David tried to teach me how to play Call of Duty on the Xbox
  • We finished all 5 seasons of the show Lost and the first 4 seasons of House
  • Decorated christmas ornaments with my family and grandparents at As You Wish
  • Spent my first Thanksgiving with the Mortensen's
  • Learning to cook meals on a daily basis...sort of
  • Lots of laundry
  • We bought a puppy!
  • We finished two puzzles
  • Baked christmas cookies and treats for the first time
  • Spent our first christmas together
  • I began taking up photography and had several photo shoots
  • David taught the puppy to sit, lie down, fetch, and shake....we are still working on come here and stay
  • I started my last semester of Undergrad at ASU
  • David was introduced to Hansen Family Christmas traditions :)  he is so very brave!
  • I turned in ALL my graduate school applications
  • David and I have both been working, working, and more working
  • We spend sundays and several other days with each other's family
  • Went to my first Mortensen Family Christmas Dinner and White Elephant Exchange
  • Spent as much time as possible with each other.
We have enjoyed our first 2 and half months of marriage together and we look forward to the many more years to come.  In the future we will be more detailed about our current happenings.  But this will have to do for now.

P.S. We are still waiting on bridal/wedding pictures.  I will post them as soon as I get them.  Here is the only picture we have so far.  I think it says it all.
